This Easter egg expands on the existing Free Power-Ups mechanic. After activating all seven hidden power-ups around the map, you unlock two rewards:

• Fire Sale

• A Free Random Perk power-up that applies to all players

Most players previously stopped at Fire Sale — this guide covers the full reward chain.

Step 1: Activate the 7 Hidden Power-Ups (Core Requirement)

Before anything new appears, you must activate all seven hidden power-ups scattered across Astra Malorum.

Power-Up Checklist

(Exact activation methods remain the same — shoot/interact as normal.)

• Bonus Points — Crash Site

• Double Points — Machina Astralis

• Insta-Kill — Scholar’s Way

• Nuke — Veil Walk

• Full Power — Stargazer’s Courtyard / Observatory Dome

• Max Armor — Deeper into Stargazer’s Courtyard

• Max Ammo — Luminarium

✅ Once all seven are active, the bonus rewards become available.

Step 2: Confirm Reward Spawns (Nothing Is Timed)

After completing the seven activations:

• A Fire Sale spawns

• A Free Random Perk power-up also spawns

Important:
You do not need to grab them immediately. They will remain until collected.

Step 3: Collect the Fire Sale (Optional First Pickup)

Location: Museum Infinitum
Placement: Behind a zombie barrier

• Break or shoot the barrier

• Collect the Fire Sale when you want

• Can be left untouched until later rounds

This behaves exactly like the known Fire Sale reward from earlier discoveries.

Step 4: Collect the Free Random Perk (The New Discovery)

Location: Abyssal Rim
Placement: On a raised wall ledge

• Shoot or interact to collect

• Grants a random perk to all players

This is a true power-up, not a machine interaction, and applies instantly.

Step 5: Using Power-Ups Strategically (C4 Trick)

This Easter egg pairs extremely well with the remote power-up pickup trick.

How to “Store” Power-Ups

1. Place C4 next to a power-up you can reach

2. Leave the area

3. Detonate the C4 from anywhere on the map

4. The power-up spawns at your current location

Best Uses

• Save the Free Perk for just before a boss or high-risk step

• Stack Double Points + Bonus Points

• Trigger Fire Sale when teammates are ready

This turns the reward into a planned advantage, not a panic pickup.

Why This Easter Egg Matters

• Confirms random perk power-ups are now part of BO7’s system

• Suggests future maps may hide similar rewards

• Builds on the Fire Sale mechanic instead of replacing it

• Rewards map knowledge, not RNG or high rounds

There is a similar perk-related discovery on Ashes of the Damned, but Black Ops 7 is the first title where random perks are fully integrated into the power-up loop, making this likely intentional design.
