Requirement
You must be playing as Nikolai
You need 3 Molotovs (crafted, loadout, or loot)
Step-by-step
Go to Abyssal Rim and find the small dirt patch.
Throw Molotov #1 onto the patch.
If correct, Nikolai speaks and flaming footprints spawn.
Follow footprints up the route shown; throw Molotov #2 at the next marked spot.
Follow the extended footprints; throw Molotov #3 at the final end spot.
Trail leads to a rock ridge cave.
Interact with the cave (you do not throw another Molotov).

Cutscene/lore sequence
Free legendary shotgun
Tip
Do this when you have points/resources — cutscene can drop you into a defense moment after.
